I’m a sole practitioner practising as a Chartered Accountant for over 21 years.
My accounting career began with Arthur Young in Palmerston North, where I worked and studied part-time before moving to Auckland with Arthur Young to complete my studies. Over this time I’ve gained valuable experience enabling me to hold senior management positions including CEO for a public unlisted Property Company.
The next part of my journey was with a Public Company during the time of the 1987 share market crash, before joining a multi-national manufacturing firm. From there I travelled overseas for seven months, gaining overseas experience before returning to Hamilton to set up my own accounting practice. I relocated to Martinborough after 10 years, finally moving my practice to Greytown.
In my accounting career I have been actively involved in farming over the last 15 years, currently farming on our land located in Kahutara.
I am also a member of the local leadership team representing Wairarapa accountants.
My sporting interests include competitive squash and 7-a-side touch-rugby, representing Waikato at tournament and national level.
I bring a South Wairarapa representation to the Board.
