Wairarapa REAP
Wairarapa REAP (Rural Education Activities Programme) provides access to lifelong learning opportunities for people of all ages, particularly those in rural districts.

Wairarapa REAP delivers programmes across a number of sectors, including early childhood, schools and adult and community education, which enhance and support education within the community.

We work closely with government, local trust sand community groups to nurture community and personal development. Our work is diverse and includes working to develop our people and communities by providing practical support to organisations and initiatives that meet identified needs.

Projects include continued support to rural playgroups, programmes for talented students in science, creative thinking and the arts, organising adult workshops based on local initiatives, co-ordinating Masterton’s first eDay to recycle computer waste, and developing a new facility for young people.

Wairarapa REAP has been active in the region since 1983 and is one of 13 REAPs operating around New Zealand.
